Sorry, but this is something that I want to get out there. It's a topic that I really do care about and I'd appreciate it if everyone read it. Because everyone, no matter how nice, should really be aware.

I think the author took the actual issue a little further than I've ever seen but I do agree that its sad how many are suffering from a low self-esteem brought on from family and society. Always good to remember though!

Of course. I have never lived on a farm and from what I understand, most our nation doesn't and I know so his example of a farm child taking a 15 min break seemed to be pushing the limits to everything I have seen. I'm sure it could happen but that just seemed to be the furtherest stretch for his argument. I have found that when trying to get attention for an issue such as this, its better to argue on points that the majority could have seen or relate to such as the children who bring home B's and get belittled for not getting A's. Or the child who does his best but never has it be good enough.

I hope I don't offend because like I said, I do understand and find it a very sad situation.
