It means that the house is very nice and proper. Also very fashionable. I'll be more direct when I'm complimenting things next time. Bunch of heathens I think

So today after waking up and writing down my dream, like I do most mornings. I've decided that if I put all of my really odd dreams together and edit a bit I could come up with the most amazing story EVER!! For those special few who've heard my dreams will atest I have some of the oddest dreams and I remember it all (most of it) when I wake up!
Or I could just write them down. I think I shall make my member journal my dream journal. I'm not going to post everyone I have, some of them are extremely personal, but I feel like I should.

I think that's a great idea. I rarely remember my dreams if I even have them. So I love to hear about others dreams. Eric always has lots of interesting ones that he'll tell me.

Okay I write as the dream goes okay so this isn't going to look pretty. And I also write these down the minute I wake up. So not only is it incoherent I'm also trying really hard to read my bad hand writing, because more often then not I fall back asleep after writing one of these. I'll try to clean it up as much as possible, but there are no promises!
The first one is an older one that I wrote down, Amber plays a big part. the second one is from last night.

I’m on a cruise ship, in the teen section. I don’t like it, no one is really nice to me. I fly/wandered off to see the rest of the ship. I run into people getting in fights in a casino. I go back to the teen section, they are watching a movie and I call the kid in charge a Rockefeller, I start to wander again and make my way down a large spiral staircase. I met a woman who is dancing and she offers to take me dancing even though I’m wearing jeans. Which are really loose on me. So we squeeze into this private room surrounded by curtains and Its extremely exclusive. There is only a few people here. All of them are dancing inside an element, water, fire, earth. And you have to dance like the element you are and with others like you. If you don’t you are terminated. Rory(is the woman I met) and I begin to dance, she is fire and I am water. I’m not dong so good, before I get terminated the dance instructor ends the session so I get out alive. Rory becomes Amber and she talks with the dance instructor like they are old friends. He starts the dance up again but this time everyone is water but me. I just watch. Amber is keeping up and Is actually doing and amazing job.
We leave and walk back to the teen room. We walk by a surfing competition and Amber wants to try it out. So we ask if she can. The boys scoff a little bit but they allow her to. I tell them she’s so good that they would be amazed that she can do a hand stand on it no problem. The surf board turns out to be a wake board. So we all. Three boys and two girls and me get into this boat and start going. I hope amber follows. Soon she does on a water motorcycle. Everyone is impressed and as she passes the boat she tosses me a t-shirt. I change into the t-shirt while on the boat. They boys are kinda shocked to watch me change. But one of them says I can go cruising on the boat with him anytime and that I’m really cool. I’m jealous that Amber impressed them so much. I want to impress them too so I jump out into the lake and begin swimming. I hear some voices calling “What’s that behind you” I don’t look but I see an orange life jacket and then I run into a dead body that has been out floating. I can feel it touch me and where I move I can feel it. I scream.

2nd
I dreamt that I was walking through a high school cafeteria, I knew it was mine, but It didn’t look like it. Every girl was pregnant, some were wearing t-shirts that said thing on them like “yes it’s a baby” and other things, I don’t remember what exactly. When I started walking through I wasn’t pregnant and I practically ran out. Then I was in a mall and I owned my own salon. I went shopping and this guy kept bugging me. Telling me he loved me and all that. So I thought I’d try to get rid of him so I ran into a swim suit shop hoping he wouldn’t follow me but he did and he kept making suggestions on what I should get. I ignored him and picked out a lot of modest clothes. T-shirt and dresses, a robe or two. Then I saw these amazing sports bras and some how I knew they were the best ever made. I didn’t want to buy anything provocative while this man was in the store but I really wanted some sports bras and more work out clothes! So I went to look at them. I walked on to a big blue circle that looked like a wrestling pad. There was a jumbo screen that I knew would show work out videos and people would watch it and work out on the mat. When I stepped up to look at the bras a girl turned to me and asked me if I was a gymnast. I said no I was a runner and I did kick boxing. She said that was weird because I didn’t look like one, because she was one.

Those are interesting dreams. The first was so shocking at the end cause it seemed peaceful enough in the beginning. I could totally see those becoming stories if you were just to fill in the blanks a little.

DOn't worry though, I'll stay tuned for tomorrows dream!

The Grand Victorian Empty Work from H.E. Double Hockey sticks

Post  CindySue Sun May 02, 2010 11:50 pm

**This post is a Rant. Its my opinon and no one elses. I'm sorry if it offends anyone. that is not my intention and I'm extremely sorry**
So after two and a half weeks of working 9pm-6am I am now done. And its a good thing too because that just about killed me. Not talking to anyone and having the guys shut up everytime I walked into a room really sucked. I suppose they were all given a very stern talking to by my manager to "behave themselves and act respectfully around women" Meaning me because I was the only girl.
I tell you what they were all....respectful. Of course I'm not deaf and the store isn't huge so I heard them talking, and boys will be boys, most of it was...well the things boys talk about. I didn't care, I thought a lot of it was funny. If they want to swear like a sailor, and talk vulgarly thats their thing. I don't swear or utter any vulgarities, thats mine. But walking into a room to here "shhhhhh" go around because they didn't want me to hear what they were talking about. Or Have no one talk to me at all because they might get in trouble for saying stuff around me really started to piss me off.
2 1/2 weeks of being up all night and NO ONE would talk to me. Fun Fun times. I'm sure they thought they were being nice to me, and when a guy would drop the F bomb two others would call him out on it, they thought they were being gentlemanly. Just to walk a few feet away "out of ear shot of the women" and drop the same bomb twice. Nice. I'm not stupid, either say it or don't. Don't make a big deal about it. I never once said "Please become a different person when I'm in the room. If you swear my womanly sensablilites will be shaken and I don't know how I'll ever live if that happens."
For crying out loud, the worst thing to ever happen to woman was the womans right movement! Yes I said that! Don't get me wrong. Its nice to vote and have a say in things. Its nice to have rights, really really great. But to treated like some naive retard because I'm a woman and I have to be Both treated like an equal and like a delicate female is enough to make me sick!
One of the guys actually told me "I don't have to watch what I say around you because women are equals and I can say what I want, and I can be a gentleman when I want to be."
What kind of sense does that make? He's right, women have made it mandatory that we are treated with just as much respect as men, whether we deserve it or not. And now men see it as that they now have to be careful what they say around us, it almost mocking and condesending.(Not all men, please please don't get me wrong! I'm just venting about the guys I work with)
Am I being to harsh? Am I not understanding something?
Am I supposed to be happy that I was being treated nicely? They were being polite, they weren't harrassing me like they did to each other. Isn't that good? Isn't that what you want? Why am I complaining?
Ladies first. Yes ma'am. Can I help you with that? Aren't these nice things to say? Then why do I feel so insulted?
Even my co-workers that I work with regularly, that I've been working with for the last year changed how they addressed me and how they spoke to me.
I just can't get it out of my head "Oh I can't say that Allysens here" or " Oh sorry Allysen didn't see you standing there" or my favorite "shhhh the girls right over there"
Can I scream? can I scream now? Because I'm the girl that makes me equal to some naive little thing?
I actually laughed at an off color joke, they didn't know I was listening. Yeah that shut them up. It was funny, am I not supposed to laugh?
I don't care what you say.
In the work place women want to be treated like equals. but outside of it they want the romantic gestures of gentleman. Open the door, say sweet things, treat me like a princess. Listen up ladies, You can't have it both ways! Because it just doesn't work that way, it should, you think it wouldn't be hard, but it doesn't. You want to be thought of as a bad a**, then you will be, and thats all you will be they won't say "Wow she's a stern task manager at work, but at home shes as gentle as a kitten" even if you are, you'll be thought of as one or the other. Not Both.
Women have made it harder on themselves, and to those like me who don't wish to have the mocking respect or the condesending politeness, You've just screwed everything up!
Maybe its just me. And maybe its just the men I work with. Don't get me wrong. I work with some great guys. I consider some of them my very good friends and I like them very much. I suppose I've just had a really unfortunate last 2 1/2 weeks. Poor Allysen.

Just for the record this post is probably the most obnoxious and opinonated thing I've ever written. I've flip flopped back and forth from different views and such, and you're probably just thinking that I'm just crazy. Well thats fine with me. I had to get that off my chest, and now that I've done it I'm glad.
Next time I post it will be some silly dream I've had. that will be more fun and light hearted. Suspect

The Grand Victorian Empty Re: The Grand Victorian

Post  R.K. Mon May 03, 2010 10:12 am

Don't worry. I understand how you feel. When I was taking Auto shop I loved the fact that they treated me almost like one of the guys but would just choose to have the really "Bad" conversations at another time. Likewise I never tried to be the simpering idiot that many girls try to be. I'm sorry the guys you were working with didn't know how to act around girls in a professional setting. I've worked other places where I had to earn the respect and its never easy to do. I'm sorry those weeks were so awful and I never returned your phone call! Glad that its over and hopefully you'll never have to do anything like that again! The Grand Victorian Icon_lol

The Grand Victorian Empty Re: The Grand Victorian

Post  CindySue Tue May 04, 2010 1:16 pm

Not hard to get confused, I just started typing and went off. So don't worry about it.

New Dream!!

I'm in the navy. I was just picked to go with a group of men to explore new places. After the meeting we split off to our seperate locker rooms. I put all of my make up in my locker and left to find out when we were planning on leaving. I returned to find some one else using my locker and all of my makeup was gone. I started emptying the locker of all the other womans things and yelling at the girl, asking her what she has done with my makeup. She kept telling me that the locker was empty and my things were never there. I reach the bottom shelf where I find three creams of mine. I hold them out to her and yell at her to give back the rest of my makeup. That it was 1,500 dollars worth of cosmetics. She still refused to talk, so I called her out and we began fighting. Word spread fast that the Doctor of the new mission(that would be me) was in a fight, so my new crew came to watch. It lasted longer then I thought it would, but I ended up winning. She gave me my money for the makeup. I leave the arena counting the cash, the boys want to know what I'm going to buy with it. I tell them I'll buy more makeup.
I'm walking down the mall when two of my roommates (both male) come to tell me that new furniture has arrived at our apartment. I'm confused so I return to the apartment with them. However when we get closer I start to become shy because I'm not wearing any clothes. I cover myself up and ask one of my roommates to go get me something to wear. He comes back and I get dressed. We reach the apartment and I'm watching a Father and his two daughters use a crane to lift furniture into my apartment. Suddenly I understand that this is my new step family. I over hear them talking, they have to steal from me. I know what they are after and I keep it in my purse. So I leave my purse unattended so I can catch them in the act. No sooner did I set it down then one of the girls grabs it. Apparently whoever gets it first wins. I catch her and make her give it back. Its a box about the size of what masscara comes in. I take it with me inside. I hear them plotting my death. I wait a while listening to them, they are right outside of the door. Finally I stick my head out and tell them that they don't whisper as quietly as they think they do.
I take off running and find myself at Nielsens Frozen Custard (OC. okay Nielsens has the BEST frozen custard EVER! best in the world, come to Utah just for the chocolate custard with caramel) My car has run out of gas, so I'm waiting in line to use the gas pump. The clerk behind the counter tells me no one is using it and to go ahead. I walk around the back where I see an abandoned gas station. Its empty because it went out of buisness due to gas prices. Next door is a really cute boutique store. I walk over to the gas pump and stick the nozzel in my front pocket, but remember it needs to go into my back pocket, it holds more. So I do and the pocket fills with gas. I'm very careful as I walk back to my car so that I don't spill. I put it into the car then go into the boutique. Its so pretty, the rooms are colonial and if you dress up you can stay a night. Its for honeymooners. I get dressed up and go sit on one of the beds. A maid comes in and offers to pull the sheets back for me. I decline saying that I can do it myself. I walk around the house and find the Land Lady. She asks me how I am, I say that I'm fine. She then asks me if I'm by myself. I say that I am. She looks really sad and asks why. I tell her its because I'm 25 and passed marriagable age. She feels bad for me and lets me stay and wishes me luck.

The End! Very Happy

I'm on a huge ship. I'm pretty sure its the titianic. But the Titanic has already sunk so this must be another Titanic fated to end the same way. I am in the control rooms deep in the ship and It starts to flood. we all want to get out but the commander won't let us. he says we must go down with the ship. But he lets me pass because I'm the only girl. I run up to the deck, across from me leaning against the railing is a girl. I try to warn her but as soon as I get close two men take her away. I hear a loud clunk and I notice a gun has been dropped onto the deck. I walk over and pick it up. two young men are walking toward me. I point my gun at them and tell them to stop. They do and they start to apologize. they lift their hands and five guns fall out of their jackets. I ask them where they got theses, they don't want to answer so they jump off the ship. I run to the side to see them and contimplate saving them. Because either they will die now or they die when the ship sinks. I ask them if they'd like to be saved. they have now turned into three year olds and are crying. so I run down to the lower deck and climb down a ladder that leads to the water. The only problem is I have to hand the boys over the railing. so I need help but no one will stop to help me. finally a young woman stops to help. I reach for one boy and grab his arm and swing him up. the other boy is holding onto my leg. I do the same for him

The Grand Victorian Empty Re: The Grand Victorian

Post  CindySue Thu May 27, 2010 1:32 pm

I haven't been writing down my dreams so much lately. Mostly because by the time I wake up I only remember half of it. But I tell you what I've had a couple that were a doozy.

I remember a little from last night so I'll write it down as much as possible. It was actually kind of fun, I wish I could remember it all.

I'm in a play house looking at the pictures on the wall of Casts from different plays. The one I'm currently looking at is a version of the Pirate of Penzance, which is my favorite play of all time. Only as I look at the picture it comes to life. All of the actors are on a sandy beach, and the Mother of the girl the pirate falls in love with (but we all know it was a dad and not a mom in the real play) is singing and warning the pirate off. Suddenly I'm on a boat floating down a very large river, it becomes smaller and then it becomes streets with people on them. The streets get so crowded with people gathering together to listen to men who are running for office.
I try to get to my house, asking if anyone can help me. But they are confused with what I'm asking. They don't live in houses of their own, they all live in places that don't open until 10. I find two men that believe me or at least are interesting in seeing what a house looks like, they come with me and we walk up the stairs. I unlock the door and show them in. They are very impressed with how big it is and how much stuff I have.
I leave my house again, alone this time and I'm sailing off in my ship. Only this time I find I have a baby with me. Instinctively I know that there is a man who is very angry with me that I have this baby. I try to steer clear of him but he finds me and takes the baby from me. I follow him to his mansion and try to get the child back. He says to me the only way to get her back (i find out its a girl) is to find an appropriate place to raise her. Before I leave I go into the babys room and kiss her, there is a nurse in there with her and she's changeing her diaper, with tape, odd. So I leave and begin gathering what i need to get my child back.

And that is all I remember. Hey if anyone knows how I can find the Pirate of Penzance with Kevin Cline and Angela Lansbury, I want it!

Lots of dreams. Oh goodness so many, but I've been too busy to write them down when I wake up. Or too distracted to so I haven't done it. I want to though, I had a doozy the other night. I was lots of fun, but weird.

OKay Okay so writers block sucks, I'm sure most of you know that well by now. But as I was sitting here typing an answer to RK's query about my dreams, a conversation entered my head and I had to write it down (hence the below) I don't know whos talking, what happened before or after, any of the circumstances at all. But I my head unblocked for the bearest second to produce this. La La Laa!!!!!!

"what on earth have you two been doing?" he said eyeing us wet and sloshing water over the threshold. "He pushed me in" I said matter of factly. "I did not, You fell in." He replied defensively. "I don't believe either of you." "OKay the truth is that we were fishing and a big one got caught on her line, the line snapped and she fell backward over the side of the boat." "Really?" "Technically, but I had some help falling." I said gesturing at each of us dripping water on the floor.
