Searching for Sugar Cookies
long ago when I was younger my family would go to The Ogden Athletic Club. We all called it the club. We would go there to swim and have fun with our friends. In this club there is a snack bar and they have the most amazing sugar cookies I've ever had(And they most amazing pasta salad). I am looking for a similar recepie. I've tried two so far and they are not what I am looking for. I'm looking for soft sugar cookies, perferably not drop cookie style. If anyone knows of an amazing sugar cookie recepie please let me know.

Hate to break it to you baby, but The Club didn't make those cookies. They are from Hug Hes Cafe. Same goes for the pasta.

Re: Searching for Sugar Cookies
Here you go:
1 cup butter or margarine (better w/ butter of course)
1 1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
Sift dry ingredients together. Cream butter, add sugar gradually and beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Add flour mixture gradually to the creamed mixture.
Chill at least 3-4 hours.
Roll out to 1/8 inch thick on a floured surface and cut into desired shapes. (If you make them a little thicker it will make them softer...just watch as they cook in the oven to determine if/when they are done.)
Bake at 375 for 6-8 min. Cool slightly and remove to cooling racks.
These are yummy...I think it's my mom in law's mom's recipe. We make them every year at Christmas and even made them for Halloween this year! YUM!
