Re: Looking For Books
I like fantasy, scifi, and fiction. A good war, a hero and not too out there, but mostly just as long as the author can tell a good story well.

George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" series is excellent, first book is "A Game of Thrones"
Robin Hobb's Farseer Trilogy, first book "Assassin's Apprentice"
Daniel Abraham's Long Price Quartet starts with "A Shadow in Summer"

I'm not familiar with the other two books here, but I agree on the recommendation for Robin Hobb! One of my favorite series of all time.

Re: Looking For Books
Quest of the Riddle Master trilogy by Patricia Mckillip
The Riddle-Master of Hed is the first book
Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman
Anything by Terry Pratchett really.
Incarnations of Immortality by Piers Anthony
On a Pale Horse is the first book
I'll think up more not to worry

Re: Looking For Books
Cindy, you SOOO can not promote the Incarnations of Immortality. You haven't finished it yet. You haven't even gotten the second BOOK!
Now I, who have finished them all can say: They are excellent and I totally recommend them.

Re: Looking For Books
HEY! I've read the first one and I'm planning on reading the rest. YOU won't let me skip to book three, and my library doesn't have book two! But I liked the first book and the others sound really good too! And my dear sister you've read them and you have excellent taste so I'm going off your view. So back off!
